This was another picture playdate organized by my friend Allison of ALM Designs. (She just designed Owen’s 2nd birthday shirt and I am so excited to get it! She has a sneak peak of his birthday shirt on her Facebook page!) The mini sessions were a lot of fun and the weather held out until the last minute of our last session! Then, it started to rain! Allison brought a super cute tricycle that was a big hit with all of the little ones! We took these at Hagan-Stone Park in Pleasant Garden. (Send me an e-mail if you’re interested in hosting a portrait playdate – mini session pricing and the hostess gets a discount – rebeccakellerphotography@gmail.com) Mini sessions are shorter than a regular session (around 30 minutes) and include 5-7 or more pictures of your little one.
This little one was born very early and only 4 lbs 10 oz. She was so peaceful and content the entire session. Such a precious and beautiful baby! She is just absolutely gorgeous and I just love these sweet images!

This week’s theme – Details.
I love holidays – decorating for holidays, eating holiday food, holiday parties, and definitely holiday crafts. So with Easter approaching, we have been working on many different crafts to celebrate – like these Graham Cracker Peep Houses.
He looks at his little project everyday and says, “chickie, chickies!” So when we heard about Aunt Wendy’s new chickens, we had to go see some real “Chickie, chickies.”
Owen became fast buddies with the little chickie,
This is him saying, “Mommy! Chickie, Chickie!”
He went into the hen house and picked some real eggs with Aunt Wendy – Wow, they are beautiful!
These are Aunt Wendy’s goats. And as she pointed out to me, details can be very important. See the ears of the goat on the left. If your ears look like that goat, you are going to be raised for milk. If you have the ears like the goat on the right, well, that means you are going to be raised for meat. That one detail makes a big difference.
Oh, and you can’t leave Aunt Wendy’s without trying out her tree swing. Amazing!

What joy this little one brings to my life! I am so thankful for everyday. Everytime I hear, “Mommy!” It just melts my heart. One of my goals for February was to take more pictures with me in them. (I pretty much have no pictures with me in them – I am always taking the picture.) This mommy and me session was very sweet! Oh, I just love these!
I have loved aviators forever! Michael found a pair for Owen at the end of last summer and I couldn’t wait to take them out! Too much fun!
Don’t forget to take more pictures with you in them!
Matt and Jen waited to announce in pictures that Ben is going to have a little brother! Our original date was snowed out so they had to wait four more days to share the news! It was absolutely gorgeous out the day of the session! You might remember Ben from his 18 month pictures! Such a handsome little man and soon he will have a little brother to play with!
These were taken outside Sweetie’s Candy Shop in Wake Forest. Once we saw the bubbles, we had to stop! Such a cute place – I am going to have to take my little one soon!
Congrats Matt, Jen, and Ben!

Congrats to Patrick and Alex! When we first took their announcement photos, they were still waiting to find out if their little one was going to be a boy or a girl.So excited for them! I love these pictures because they capture the emotions the moment they found out they are going to have a little girl!
These are some of the outtakes We tried to find confetti but we couldn’t find it anywhere! I love how happy they are in these!
Truly a special day!

One of my February goals is to capture more of the everyday.
I can’t keep secrets so the grandparents may see these on the blog before I even get them in the mail this afternoon. Maybe I should send these pictures with the valentines. He really loved making them and babbled the grandparents names while he was working. It only took a few minutes to take these pictures, and they are dear to me. He was so sweet making each one (yet he did try to eat one of the elephant’s eyes!)
How sweet is this little one! Such a doll! Her parents were very prepared for this session and had a few blankets and props that really fit their style. The bowl was an heirloom which made it so special to have pictures of little Evelyn in the bowl. Their dining room had such beautiful light and we got so many pretty pictures during this session. The house was also warm – which is important for a newborn session. We were able to get so many pictures because little Evelyn was happy and content and dreaming away. Here are several favorites. (You can see more pictures from this session here and here.)
The moss in this picture was from their wedding – so pretty! And this is their heirloom bread bowl – so beautiful!
