Chasing Mermaids – Commercial Photography, Raleigh, N.C.

Sunday, February 26th, 2012

This week, I had the privilege of taking photos for Chasing Mermaids, an online store which sells children’s boutique clothing. Raedene, the owner, sells through facebook and etsy so be sure to check out both pages! These clothes are absolutely gorgeous! I love the boys clothes (especially the navy whale shirt and shorts – LOVE!) but the girls clothes are incredible! (If I had a girl, I would be in trouble!) She really goes the extra mile with the details. I love the ruffles, trim, and borders. Too too cute! She is truly talented and puts a lot of thought into the clothes! The session ran very smoothly and the little ones were just as happy as can be!

This dress is absolutely adorable and she is such a doll! This is definitely a favorite! (um, if I had a girl – yes I would have already bought this in maybe two or three sizes! That collar is just too stinkin cute! :)

Ahh! The whale shirts are just too cute and look at those ruffle pants! There was a lot of oohing and ahhing over the clothes!

She is now taking pre orders for the spring collection so be sure to follow Chasing Mermaids on facebook for more information and to see the rest of the collection!

Waiting on a Cowboy – Maternity Photography, Raleigh, N.C.

Thursday, February 23rd, 2012

These two are waiting on a super special cowboy! Can’t wait to meet him! The weather was absolutely beautiful the day of this session, and I can’t believe it snowed the next day. We started our session at the park and then headed downtown for some urban shots. Downtown Wake Forest is special to Su-Anne because she used to work close by so the location was perfect! See more from this session here.

CG5 Vintage is an awesome store in Wake Forest where we took these shots with the van -  they have some fabulous stuff!

52 week project – week 7 – True Love – family photographer, raleigh, n.c.

Friday, February 17th, 2012

So this week’s theme is True Love.  Michael and I have a little saying where if one of us does something small and thoughtful, we always say, “That’s true love.” True love isn’t necessarily grand gestures or huge elaborate gifts. It’s the little things, every day, without being asked.

Probably my all-time favorite – when he gets up early in the morning and goes to get me my favorite iced coffee before I wake up. That’s true love.

Do I even have to explain this one? What girl doesn’t LOVE chocolate?!? Another favorite – when he brings home something chocolate as a surprise. That’s true love.

When he brings me flowers, when he changes a diaper, when he folds laundry, that’ s true love. Truly blessed and so thankful for such a sweet husband.

Congrats to Patrick and Alex! When we first took their announcement photos, they were still waiting to find out if their little one was going to be a boy or a girl.So excited for them! I love these pictures because they capture the emotions the moment they found out they are going to have a little girl!

These are some of the outtakes :) We tried to find confetti but we couldn’t find it anywhere! I love how happy they are in these!

        Truly a special day!

Sweet Shot Tuesday – Happy Valentine’s Day!

Tuesday, February 14th, 2012

These three have been buddies since they were itty bitty babies. So cute that we got together for a tractor day. What a great playdate for these little ones! They had a blast “driving” the tractor!

Uh oh! Look what I found boys!

Start the tractor and let’s go!

These are the good ole days of playing in the sandbox, making mud pies, running in the sprinkler and chasing fireflies.
