What you wear during your session is very important! I usually advise my clients to stay away from white and pick something with color. Color looks so great in pictures! Also, pick something that is typically your style – whether it’s vintage, casual, etc. If your child has something fun that you love, bring that too (Rain boots, cowboy boots, etc) You don’t have to be matchy matchy either – you can pick the same color scheme and find outfits that blend together. Raleigh Family Photography – What to Wear Guide
Sunday, October 30th, 2011Raleigh Newborn Photography – Elizabeth’s First Day
Sunday, October 30th, 2011I met this family when we were taking maternity pictures just weeks ago and now they have a new baby girl! She is absolutely beautiful! Her big brother and sister are so proud and it was really special to capture some sweet moments with their new baby sister. Looking forward to taking some newborn pictures of little Elizabeth!
Raleigh Child Photography – Christopher – 17 months
Saturday, October 29th, 2011My son Owen and Christopher became friends at the library when they were around 9 months old. The library has such great programs for little ones! (Just yesterday we went to the Halloween Hoot!) Since then, the boys have become fast buddies and share a love of Chic-fil-a, painting, playing in the sandbox , sharing chocolate chip cookies while their moms have coffee, trains, and we are always trying to keep them from sharing their sippy cups! Here are a few pictures of Owen’s buddy Christopher at 17 months.
Raleigh Child Photography – Bella and Julia
Saturday, October 29th, 2011How adorable are these two sisters? It was a beautiful fall day and I got some super cute photos of these two. I love the flowers they brought – what a great idea! This was another session at E Carroll Joyner Park, and while we were there, they were setting up for a beautiful fall wedding. We got to see the bride and groom taking pictures during the session, too!
Raleigh Child Photography – Taylor – 3 Months Old
Friday, October 28th, 2011This little one was so happy and ready for pictures! She giggled and smiled during most of the session. Three months is such a fun age – when babies become really interactive and love playing with their toys! I loved including her favorite toy in this session! I always love when parents bring a favorite toy or lovie to a session! They grow up so fast and it’s so great to document their personalities and favorite things. Here are a few of my favorites from the session.
Raleigh Child Photography – Matthew – 8 weeks old
Friday, October 28th, 2011Look at this little guy! He’s just getting bigger and cuter every second! Love these pictures of sweet Matthew at 8 weeks!
Raleigh Child Photography – Ben – 18 months
Wednesday, October 26th, 2011E. Caroll Joyner Park in Wake Forest is probably my favorite place to take pictures. There are beautiful trees, stone walls, some neat buildings, a great field. a bridge, and plenty of open shade! It is 117 acres and a really neat place! During this session, I learned some super cute motions to “The Wheels on the Bus,” which I am currently teaching my son! Ben loves airplanes and looking for them was a fun way to get this cutie to smile! I love that his mom brought different outfits and the red vest is so super cute!
Raleigh Child Photography – Alex – 21 months
Wednesday, October 26th, 2011Alex is such a cutie, and he is super fast! We spent most of the session running! He did stop for a few seconds so I could snap a picture! We also got some pictures of his beautiful curls before his first haircut!
